Veronica Ramirez, administrative assistant in the division of general surgery, has been extremely reliable since she joined the Health Science Center six months ago. Her outstanding work ethics earned her the Surgery Department’s Employee of the Month Award.
“She always goes the extra mile in supporting not only patient care but research activities and routine matters,” colleagues say. “She always has initiatives regarding office management and better filing of documents. She has adapted very quickly to staff, and is always smiling with a positive attitude, even under stressful situations.”
Veronica relates well with others, and several patients have mentioned her professionalism. Her quality of work always exceeds expectations. Always on time, she manages things wonderfully and has a strong ability to multitask.
A college student and a great mom, her colleagues say Veronica is a perfect example of overachievement and balance.
