The facilities management team is pleased to announce its employees of the quarter for July-September 2006.
Minnie MendezMinnie Mendez joined the facilities management team in January 2001. As a senior administrative clerk, she has the responsibility of entering and tracking almost 4,000 work requests annually into the computerized maintenance management system.
“She accomplishes this with amazing accuracy,” said Gary Tate, assistant director for business services. “Quite often she is called upon to talk with customers concerning their requests and always does this in a knowledgeable, professional and courteous manner. She is a true team player and her cheerful ‘can do’ attitude is highly appreciated by the facilities management staff as well as Health Science Center customers. We are fortunate to have her as part of our organization. She highly deserves to be named Employee of the Quarter.”
Rose RodriguezRose Rodriguez has been a part of facilities management custodial services division since May 1989. Since that time she has performed in the positions of building attendant I, II, III and is currently serving as a building attendant leader.
“Rodriguez possesses great leadership skills as well as enormous knowledge of custodial business,” said Robert Ross, executive housekeeper. “She has proven to be a loyal and dedicated employee who has contributed greatly towards the success of custodial services’ goals and mission. She is a true asset and we are proud to have her on our team.”
