Annual aging conference set for Friday, Aug. 18

The Health Science Center’s South Texas Geriatric Education Center (STGEC) will hold its 27th Annual Conference on Aging Friday, Aug. 18 at the Marriott Riverwalk Hotel.

“Geriatric Primary Care: Current Perspectives and New Horizons” is this year’s topic. The event will provide an educational program for clinicians, including the most current information regarding primary care management of a wide range of health problems in later life.

Registration and breakfast begin at 7 a.m. and the conference starts at 8 a.m.

The conference is sponsored by STGEC; the Geriatric Research, Education and Clinical Center and Employee Education Service at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System; and the John A. Hartford Foundation Center of Excellence in Geriatrics Education.
