Members of the Health Science Center community gathered in the Academic and Administration Building foyer Tuesday, Aug. 1, to say farewell to H. Randall Goldsmith, Ph.D., assistant vice president for technology transfer and economic development. The office of the vice president for research hosted the reception to thank Dr. Goldsmith for his service to the Health Science Center.
“Dr. Goldsmith has advanced our strengths in technology commercialization, growing our presence and impact throughout the state of Texas,” said Brian Herman, Ph.D., vice president for research. “We sincerely appreciate all that he brought to the Health Science Center and wish him the best in his future.”
Dr. Herman presented Dr. Goldsmith with a glass plaque in the shape of Texas, thanking him for his service not only to the Health Science Center, but to the San Antonio community, as well.
Dr. Goldsmith joined the Health Science Center one year ago, filling the newly created position as assistant vice president of technology transfer and economic development.
Dr. Goldsmith has taken a position at Mississippi Technology Alliance in Jackson, MS, as president and CEO.
