The Special Events Council (SEC) will participate in the United Way Laurence E. Richardson Day of Caring, set for Saturday, Oct. 7.
The United Way Day of Caring is a day of service when hundreds of volunteers make a difference at local agencies and schools, as well as in the lives of students and clients, by completing much-needed projects. Some projects include landscaping, painting, clerical and human service work, and construction.
If you and your family are interested in volunteering, please e-mail the SEC at
sec@uthscsa.edu by Wednesday, Sept. 27. Volunteers will be chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be given a free “Days of Caring” t-shirt. Please indicate your t-shirt size (S, M, L, XL).
When the projects have been assigned and the numbers of volunteers are determined, you will be notified and given detailed information.
