Nominate a colleague the for Presidential Employee Excellence in Service Awards

Do you know an employee who has made an outstanding contribution to the Health Science Center? If so, please consider nominating them to receive a Presidential Employee Excellence in Service Award. The person can be either a classified or administrative and professional staff member.

Up to five winners will be honored by President Francisco G. Cigarroa, M.D., Jan. 25, 2007, and given a plaque and a check for $1,000. For information about nominating someone, click on: www.uthscsa.edu/op/employeeexcellence/index.html.

Please use the nomination form to list reasons why you think the person should be considered for an award. A written letter is not necessary to nominate someone. Paper nomination forms are available in the office of human resources, Room 112 of the Administration building. To request that a copy be mailed or faxed to you, please call (210) 567-2320.

Winners will not be chosen based on the number of nominations received. If an employee receives more than one nomination, the selection committee will evaluate the individual based on the first nomination received. If several people want to nominate the same employee, please combine all comments into one nomination form.

The nomination deadline is at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 1. All materials must be received in the office of human resources by that time.

For more information, call (210) 567-2320 or send an e-mail to Anita Glass, senior organizational development advisor, at glassa@uthscsa.edu; or Margaret Drake, Ph.D., associate director of human resources, at drake@uthscsa.edu.
