Congratulations to Veronica Ramirez, administrative assistant in the division of general surgery, who was selected as the surgery department’s 2006 Employee of the Year.
“She always goes the extra mile,” colleagues say. “She always has initiatives regarding office management and better filing of documents. She has adapted very quickly to staff, and is always smiling with a positive attitude, even under stressful situations.”
Stephen M. Cohn, M.D., professor of surgery and the Dr. Witten B. Russ Chair, and the faculty and staff of the surgery department awarded Ramirez with a five-day, five-night Royal Caribbean Cruise.
The department also recognizes all the nominees and Employee of the Month Award recipients for continued support.
