Interested in influencing the lives of future health care professionals? Science Expo 2006 is just around the corner, and you are invited to assist in educating local and South Texas high school and college students about our exceptional Health Science Center programs.

The Expo will be a daylong event on Saturday, Nov. 4, giving the student visitors the opportunity to explore the various programs of all five Health Science Center schools. But in order for the event to be successful, you’re help is needed!

“We aim to educate and motivate the young people of our community and inspire them to pursue a career in the health professions,” said Irene Chapa, Ph.D., coordinator of recruitment and science outreach. “Topics of discussion at the Expo may include a particular career, important qualifications students should know in order to be accepted to professional programs, and even inspirational stories about attaining professional success.”

This year’s Expo will be bigger and better than ever – so get involved!

To participate in the event, please fill out the form: www.uthscsa.edu/HSCNews/archive/Science_Expo_2006.pdf.

Send the completed form to Dr. Chapa at chapai@uthscsa.edu.
