The Health Science Center is pleased to welcome 2006 Pulitzer Prize Winner David M. Oshinsky, Ph.D., as the featured speaker at the Friends of the P.I. Nixon Medical Historical Library’s 36th Annual Dinner-Presentation. The event will take place this from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Double Tree Hotel, 37 Northeast Loop 410.

Dr. Oshinsky holds the Blanton Chair in History at The University of Texas at Austin and received the Pulitzer Prize in History for his famed book “Polio: An American Story.” The author discusses the panic that occurred in the early 1950s when polio struck the country.
