Congratulations to Esteban Iglesias, who was selected as the Facilities Management Employee of the Year. Iglesias is the first to receive this new award. He was selected by a committee of peers who evaluated facilities management employees of the quarter for the past year. Iglesias was awarded $200 and a special plaque commemorating his selection.

Iglesias joined the custodial services team at the Health Science Center in November 1996. Since that time, his colleagues say he has performed admirably in the positions of building attendant I, mover II, stores clerk III, and in his current role as a painter III.

“Esteban has proven to be a loyal and dedicated employee who has contributed greatly toward the success of the facility exterior maintenance team,” said Darrell Maatsch, assistant vice president of campus operations and facilities.

Robert Ross, assistant director of facilities management for custodial services said: “Esteban is a true asset to the custodial services division and we are proud to have him on our team. He highly deserves to be selected as our Facilities Management Employee of the Year.”
