Join colleagues for a Town Hall meeting hosted by the office of the vice president for research from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, in Room 309L of the School of Medicine building. The meeting will have two main focus areas: “Presidential Taskforce on Conflict of Interest Report” and “Assigning Appropriate Credit for Grants.”
Members of the Presidential Task Force – a faculty committee charged last April by President Francisco G. Cigarroa, M.D., to review the conflict of interest policies and procedures at the Health Science Center – will present the report they submitted to Dr. Cigarroa.
Brian Herman, Ph.D., vice president for research, will discuss the second topic regarding assigning appropriate credit for grants.
Time for questions and answers will be allowed. Arrangements for videoconferencing to the Health Science Center’s South Texas campuses are being made.
