Lyda Arevalo, R.N., M.S.N., C.N.O.R., was recently appointed to the editorial board of the journal of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) for a three-year term. Arevalo is a clinical assistant professor in the department of acute nursing care.
The journal is a monthly, international, peer-reviewed publication with a circulation of 40,000 readers worldwide. The journal presents the newest information for practitioners based on good clinical practice guidelines, as well as the latest multidisciplinary research on topics pertaining to surgery and surgical patients. The journal also disseminates policies and guidelines developed by AORN to promote high quality, safe surgical care.
