Rosanne Fohn is the new editor for
HSC News, replacing Jacquelyn Spruce Pfeiffer who is now coordinating special events in the office of external affairs.
Fohn has more than 20 years of experience in communications, including work at newspapers, magazines and in corporate and nonprofit communications departments.
Before coming to the Health Science Center, Fohn worked at the Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG), one of the largest cancer clinical trials cooperative groups in the United States, where she handled all communications functions for the group.
“Since the San Antonio Cancer Institute is a member of SWOG, I already knew and had worked with some of the Health Science Center investigators who have been conducting large-scale trials through the group. This has been a very easy and natural transition for me. I am looking forward to meeting many more of you and helping you get the word out about the great work you are doing at the Health Science Center,” she said.
