More than 500 guests enjoyed the sights and sounds of a New York fashion show in San Antonio during “An Evening with Carolina Herrera,” held April 11 at Saks Fifth Avenue in North Star Mall.
The event raised $38,000 in sponsorships for the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute at The University of Texas Health Science at San Antonio.
Carolina Herrera stylesBrilliant spotlights illuminated a bright-white runway as New York models presented Carolina Herrera’s fall 2007 collection, accompanied by driving, upbeat music. A variety of simple to sophisticated styles were shown, from office to evening wear for young and older women. Among the styles were a fur-accented mid-thigh jacket, a layered pantsuit, plaid pants and skirts, and a patterned evening gown in her trademark contrasting black and white, worn with a graceful long-train jacket.
Guests enjoyed exquisite dining and the opportunity to visit with the world-renowned designer in a special boutique area of the store following the fashion show, where they could purchase items from the Carolina Herrera collection.
