During the symposium, on the evening of Dec. 12, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation will hold its Brinker Breast Cancer Awards Dinner. A satellite symposium at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel, 101 Bowie St., will follow the regular session on Saturday, Dec. 14, covering the topic "Optimizing Treatment Strategies in Breast Cancer: Use of Minimally Invasive Techniques/Gene Expression Profiling to Predict Response and Prognosis."

The meeting is sponsored by the San Antonio Cancer Institute, a research affiliation between the Cancer Therapy and Research Center and the Health Science Center. It is supported by registration fees from the participants, corporate donations, and conference grants from the National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society.
