'Zapping Conflict in the Workplace' is topic of presentation

Faculty and staff of The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio are invited to attend “Zapping Conflict in the Workplace.” The presentation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 29, in the School of Nursing, Room 1.206.

The presenter, Dr. Judith Briles, is an award-winning and best-selling author who recently was featured in Newsweek magazine as part of a panel of business experts answering questions about workplace issues. She is the author of 24 books, including "Zapping Conflict in the Health Care Workplace," "The Confidence Factor," "Money Smarts: Personal Financial Success in 30 Days," and "The SeXX Factor." Several of her books have won "Best" awards in business, how-to and non-fiction categories.

Presentations
Dr. Briles is a pioneer in her focus on conflict and sabotage within the workplace. She is a subject-matter expert in communication, personal finance and confidence. She has given presentations throughout the country and presented the opening address at a leadership conference in Helsinki, Finland. She has addressed such diverse groups as the Oncology Nursing Society, Nursing Symposium, the Nurse Management Congress, the Association of Operating Room Nurses and the Tank Division of the U.S. Army.

She also has been featured in People, Time and The Wall Street Journal.
