All faculty and staff are invited to the annual Health Science Center picnic, sponsored by the office of the president and the Special Events Council (SEC). The picnic will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 29, in the Central Campus courtyard and the auditorium foyer. This year’s theme is “beach party.”

Barbecue lunch
Lunch will be catered by Bill Miller Bar-B-Q, with serving beginning at 11:30 a.m. A limited number of veggie plates will be available. You must present your Health Science Center badge to receive your plate.

Entertainment
DJ Ernest Calderon will entertain the crowd with a variety of music. Other entertainers are Body Language, the Wolverines Cheerleaders, the Rampage mascot and the Blue Bubble Ballroom dancers.

Cake walk

Health Science Center employees enjoyed the cake walk at last year’s picnic.

Don’t forget to visit the auditorium foyer for the traditional cake walk and to pick up your cool and refreshing Blue Bell Ice Cream treat.

Volunteers needed
Volunteers and cakes are still needed for the cake walk. If you can help, please respond via the SEC mailbox, using the word “Picnic” in the subject line.

Door prizes
To participate in the door prize drawing:
• Get an entry form at the door prize table.
• Select guest vendors to visit and have each vendor stamp a square on the form.
• Return the completed and stamped entry form to the door prize table.

An SEC member will notify winners the following week, telling them when and where to pick up their prizes. You don’t need to be present to win.

Extra prizes for volunteers
An additional prize drawing will be held for those who volunteer or make a donation to the cake walk.
