Thanks to generous faculty and staff, the UT Health Science Center met its fundraising goal of $380,000 for this year’s State Employee Charitable Campaign.
“Despite the recent economic turbulence, 1,873 employees — 30.8 percent — donated to this year’s campaign. I am very grateful to everyone for this effort,” said Graciela Cigarroa, honorary chair of the campaign and wife of Health Science Center President Francisco G. Cigarroa, M.D.
The Health Science Center was honored on Friday, Oct. 24, at a citywide United Way event as one of San Antonio’s Pacesetters institutions.
