There is still time to sign up for HSC Alert, the UT Health Science Center’s text message emergency notification system. If you have already signed up, you are encouraged to double-check the phone numbers and e-mail addresses you’ve designated to make sure they are still current.

“We have seen some terrible tragedies on campuses over the last several years, causing colleges and universities to rethink the ways they communicate with faculty, staff and students in emergency situations or for campus closures. It doesn’t cost anything to sign up for HSC Alert and it could save your life,” said Mary DeLay, chief of staff and communications at the Health Science Center.

Sign up on the portal
It is easy to sign up for HSC Alert from your computer. Just sign in on the portal (inside.uthscsa.edu) and follow the instructions. Up to four devices can be designated to receive HSC Alert messages, including two e-mail addresses and two electronic devices.

For more information about signing up for HSC Alert, contact Triage at (210) 567-7777.
