The university community is invited to a free brown bag study group with Dr. Joe Mark Moody, associate professor of cardiology at noon Wednesday, Jan. 15, in Room 2.010 (near the Briscoe Library, underneath the Subway Sandwich Shop)
Dr. Moody will introduce a new teaching system that will help participants hear the smallest, most important details of heart sounds and murmurs with clarity. They also will learn how to accurately describe what they are hearing. Repeated practice and immediate feedback will allow listeners to measure their progress and perfect or maintain their skills.
