Two women from the faculty of The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio will help launch an initiative to provide professional support to women who work in science.
Robin L. Brey, M.D., professor of neurology and associate dean for research in the School of Medicine, and Gail E. Tomlinson, M.D., Ph.D., professor of pediatrics and interim director of the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute, will take part in a five-woman panel discussion on Thursday, March 19, celebrating the launch of the
Women in Science initiative.
Support for career development The mission of Women in Science is to provide women in scientific roles with professional support for their full and equal career development.
Event to be held at the UT Health Science CenterThe event, organized by the San Antonio chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, will be held in the Health Science Center’s Parman Auditorium Foyer.

The program fee is $25 for association members and $30 for non-members through March 11. Late and on-site registration fees are $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Students pay a reduced $10 fee.
