750 to graduate from UT Health Science Center

More than 750 students are expected to graduate during the 2009 commencement ceremonies of The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio this weekend. The commencement schedule follows: - 4 p.m. Friday, May 22: Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, auditorium, Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long Campus, UT Health Science Center, 7703 Floyd Curl Drive
Speaker: Gregg B. Fields, Ph.D., Robert A. Welch Foundation Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, UT Health Science Center at San Antonio
- 9 a.m. Saturday, May 23: School of Health Professions, Greehey Arena, St. Mary's University, 1 Camino Santa Maria
Speaker: Dr. Ann Hutchinson Meyers, vice president of transformational services, Haven for Hope of Bexar County
- 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23: Dental School, Greehey Arena, St. Mary's
Speaker: John Findley, D.D.S., president, American Dental Association
- 9 a.m. Sunday, May 24: School of Medicine, Greehey Arena, St. Mary's
Speaker: Lee Jones, M.D., associate dean for student affairs, UT Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine. William Eugene “Gene” Powell, member, UT System Board of Regents, is scheduled to attend and confer the degree of Doctor of Medicine on the graduates.
