UT Health Science Center San Antonio faculty, staff, residents and students can now shop more conveniently for discounted computers, related software, and accessories in the HSC Computer Store, which just celebrated its grand re-opening in May.

Located in the School of Medicine in the Information Management Systems Client Support Services area (Room 421L), the store now has more space and a new layout. “In the old store, we only had a small aisle for people to walk down to see the products. Now, with the extra space and new design, customers can come into the store and look around,” said manager Katie Ripley.

“We also are able to keep certain computers in stock now, whereas before we had no room for stock. More importantly, we will be carrying a lot more software and would appreciate customers’ input as to what items they would like for us to carry.”

At the new computer store customers can ‘test drive’ computers, check product specification sheets, and take advantage of the educational pricing on all products in the store. Computer and printer accessories along with Apple, Lenovo, and Dell warranty services are available.

Currently, there is a sale on student bundles from Apple, Lenovo and Dell. In addition, Apple is running a promotion for a free iPod touch with the purchase of an Apple computer.
