Faculty, staff, students and residents are invited to a free brown bag study group at noon, Wednesday, Feb. 26, in Room 2.010 (near the Briscoe Libray, underneath the Subway Sandwish Shop). Dr. Mark Moody, associate professor of cardiology at the UTHSC, will lead the workshop. Participants will learn how to use a stethoscope with precision. Participants will practice using their stethoscopes to hear the smallest, most important details of heart sounds and murmurs with clarity. They also will learn how to accurately describe what they are hearing.
Participants are asked to bring their own stethoscope. Other materials, including a book, CD ROM and a listening pad, will be provided. The event is sponsored by the university bookstore.
