SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 7, 2011) — “Igniting Science, Advancing Health” is the theme of the 2011 President’s Gala, which will benefit the UT Health Science Center San Antonio schools, programs and missions. This year’s dinner — featuring Texas steak, quail, peaches, wine and other Lone Star touches — will run from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio, 600 E. Market. A reception will kick things off, followed by the meal at 7:30 and a dance featuring Austin’s Duck Soup at 9.
President William L. Henrich, M.D., MACP, and his wife, Mary, will celebrate the contributions of Charles Butt and H-E-B. Gala donors will help establish the Charles Butt and H-E-B Excellence Fund for the Future of Health with the following table sponsorships:

- Gold Sponsor - $10,000
- Silver Sponsor - $5,000

The Charles Butt and H-E-B Excellence Fund for the Future of Health will support all aspects of the university’s programs, from education of clinicians and scientists to the translation of scientific discoveries for the health and wellness of the community.
