SAN ANTONIO (Aug. 14, 2012) — Registration is under way for the 19th annual Vulcan Materials Funshoot, a sporting-clay competition benefiting the Cancer Therapy & Research Center (CTRC) at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio.
The competition will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the National Shooting Complex, 5931 Roft Road, off Culebra Road and outside Loop 1604.
Individuals can sign up to shoot for $350 per person. Sponsorships are available at three levels, with all sponsorships including a team of five shooters. Sponsor levels are platinum at $5,000, diamond at $2,500 and gold at $1,500. Businesses and individuals also can donate items for the silent and live auctions.
In the past 18 years, Vulcan Materials has raised more than $1.7 million to support the CTRC’s mission to conquer cancer through research, prevention and treatment.
