SAN ANTONIO (October 9, 2012) – The latest information in breast cancer treatment and prevention, including ways to gauge cancer risk by analyzing family and genetic history, will be available to the public in a free lecture with a question-and-answer period starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Cancer Therapy & Research Center of The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Speakers on this “pink ribbon panel” include;
- Peter Ravdin, M.D., Ph.D., director of the CTRC’s breast health clinic
- Ismail Jatoi, M.D., CTRC surgical oncologist
- Kenneth Kist, M.D., CTRC radiologist
- Martha Thomas, CGC, CTRC genetic counselor
The Oct. 11 presentation will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the CTRC, 7979 Wurzbach Road, on the fourth floor of the Grossman Building.
This presentation will also be streamed live online at
