WHAT:Annual ceremony to inter cremated remains of human donors used in the education of students at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio
WHEN:5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 30 (today)
WHERE:Memorial Park, behind the service drive of the Robert F. McDermott Clinical Science Building at the university’s Greehey Academic & Research Campus, 8403 Floyd Curl Drive, San Antonio, TX 78229
(Guests may park in Lot 23 adjacent to the McDermott Building.)
WHO:Students from the Health Science Center’s schools will give brief speeches about the anatomy lessons and life lessons they have learned from their first patients, the deceased human donors who altruistically gave their bodies to science.
NOTE:The playing of bagpipes will begin the ceremony. Graduate voice students from The University of Texas at San Antonio will sing during the program. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Health Science Center’s Holly Auditorium.
