Program

The annual program consists of an initial 1½ day retreat and 6 subsequent ½ day monthly sessions which all build upon one another.

Fellows are given reading assignments prior to each sessions. This prepares the individuals for interaction and tabletop exercises.

Each session begins with a ½ hour keynote by a member of the HSC Executive Committee. Their talk typically focuses on their own growth as leaders and often includes specific learning experiences they have had in their careers. This reinforces the importance of LEAD and enables the Fellows to experience a more personal side of the HSC leadership.

One session is facilitated by an Asst VP of Finance and the VP of Human Resources at the HSC. Specific information about the Health Science Center’s finances and revenue streams have been particularly well received and the strategic hiring and use of personnel have been valuable to the Fellows.
