Residence Status

Generally, students who have resided in the state for 12 months immediately preceding the time of enrollment are classified as residents. All students receiving teaching or research assistantships are considered residents.

Non-U.S. residents must have appropriate visas and immigration documents. UTHSCSA's Office of International Affairs provides information and assists incoming students with these matters upon receiving notification from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences of the student's formal acceptance for admission.
