February 2003 The department of radiation oncology has rejoined the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG). Tony Eng, M.D., associate professor and residency program director in the department of radiation oncology, will serve as the principal investigator on projects between the RTOG and the Health Science Center. Dr. Eng has extensive experience in the conduct, design and interpretation of clinical trials. He is the program leader for gynecologic, pediatric, genitourinary, ocular and head and neck radiotherapy within the department of radiation oncology, and is an active member of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The RTOG is a national cancer study research group, funded by the NCI, with more than 30 years of experience in running clinical trials.
