November 2004 Hispanic Magazine included Martha Baez, R.D.H., M.P.H., Assistant Professor of Community Dentistry, in its Top Latinas list. Each year Hispanic Magazine lists top Latinas from around the nation in various careers who have been recognized for their outstanding work in their fields. These categories include: arts and entertainment, business, community service, education, government and political organizations, health and sciences, sports, science and technology, and journalism and communication. Baez is course director of the Health Science Center’s School-Based Prevention Program in which dental students engage in dental disease prevention activities conducted at school districts in San Antonio. She is also the president of the Hispanic Dental Association.
