by Natalie Gutierrez Faculty at the Health Science Center, along with CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care, the University Health System and other partners, are working to ensure that children receive the most comprehensive health care available.It’s an alliance that pairs top researchers, physicians and surgeons with first-rate health care facilities, information and technology. This summer, Thomas C. Mayes, M.D., M.B.A., professor and chair of the department of pediatrics at the Health Science Center, will assume the role of physician-in-chief of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital. This is the first time a Health Science Center faculty member will serve in this crucial role.
