HSC faculty perform 1,000th liver transplant

The Health Science Center’s Glenn Halff, M.D., professor of surgery and director of the Health Science Center/University Health System transplant program, and his team performed their 1,000th liver transplant at The Transplant Center at University Hospital this past winter. The program is among the largest in the nation. The one-year survival rate at The Transplant Center is more than 87 percent, which is higher than the national average.
