Two empty grain silos, cattle pens and milking barns resting quietly on an expanse of smooth earth. Who would have ever believed that an unassuming 100-acre dairy farm in San Antonio would be transformed into one of the fastest growing, dynamic and premier health care, research and education institutions in the nation?

Today, The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio spans thousands of acres on six campuses in San Antonio, Laredo, Harlingen and Edinburg.

With construction of four new buildings under way, the Health Science Center is supersizing science.

Faculty physicians, researchers and students can look forward to bigger and better facilities, classrooms, labs, technology and resources. Patients in turn can look forward to highly trained health care providers and the best care available.

It’s the science of expansion, enhancement and advancement in San Antonio, South Texas and beyond, and the Health Science Center is on track with this tall order.
