San Antonio Expected completion: December 2010 Size: 250,000 square feet Cost: $150 million Ingredients for success: This new building will provide ultra-modern laboratory space for the Health Science Center’s growing research enterprise and will attract and retain top researchers who will conduct basic and translational research in the following areas: metabolic biology, molecular therapeutics, age-related neurodegenerative diseases, and a new program in regenerative medicine that will take advantage of partnerships with the military and The University of Texas at San Antonio.
