CPRIT awards nearly $4 million for faculty recruitment and research

The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) awarded the Health Science Center $2 million to recruit a rising star in cancer research. Dmitri Ivanov, Ph.D., is from the Department of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School.

An additional $1.8 million was awarded to Ian M. Thompson Jr., M.D., executive director of the CTRC, for his prostate cancer research.
