Delving into diversity
by Rosanne Fohn Nurses are known for being the caregivers in the trenches, providing knowledgeable, one-on-one care to patients and population-focused care in community settings. In addition to responsibility for managing care delivery systems, the nursing profession engages in improving the quality of care by conducting research and by promoting diversity in the workforce. Two School of Nursing professors are at the forefront of these missions: Carrie Jo Braden, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, associate dean for research in the School of Nursing and Norma Martinez Rogers, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, a professor in the Department of Family & Community Health Systems See related stories.
