October 2002 The School of Medicine has named Robert S. Schenken, M.D., chair of the department of obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Schenken is the Frank Harrison Chair in Reproductive Endocrinology and an internationally renowned leader in his field. "I plan to focus on enhancing the basic and clinical research activities of the department while maintaining our excellent training programs and patient care services," Dr. Schenken said. He is president-elect of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, general program chair for the VIII World Congress on Endometriosis and member of the board of directors and examiner of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
