Student services director appointed

Rosalyn B. Green, PhD, is the new executive director of student services at the Health Science Center .

Dr. Green comes from the University of Iowa where she directed the office of special support services. A native of Iowa, her academic experience ranges from undergraduate teaching to program directorships and an assistant deanship.

Dr. Green earned her doctor of philosophy in education and a master's degree in social work from the University of Iowa. In her new position, she will oversee student services for the Health Science Center's 2,580 students enrolled in five component schools.

"The Health Science Center is particularly fortunate in having successfully recruited Dr. Green. She brings considerable experience to this important position. Her breadth of knowledge in contemporary issues involving students in the health professions will be an asset to our academic community. We are all looking forward to Dr. Green and her husband and two daughters joining us in San Antonio," John Thomas, PhD, vice president for academic services, said.
