Dental School helps
at Special Olympics
Dental students from the Health Science Center examine
youngsters at the Special Olympics held in April at San Antonio's Blossom Athletic Center. Rachel Heard, a third-year dental student, and Dietmar Kennel, DDS, a fellow in pediatric dentistry, team up at one chair. The games are for retarded children and adults. About 1,100 participated. Dental School volunteers screened about 500 participants.
