Ewing Halsell Chair in Aging created

The Center for Longevity and Aging Studies will include a prestigious Ewing Halsell Foundation Distinguished Chair in Aging Research.

The new chair in aging research was created with a $1 million contribution from the Ewing Halsell Foundation. The contribution is the most recent of numerous gifts from the foundation, which has supported the Health Science Center since its opening.

The Ewing Halsell Foundation is a charitable trust created in 1957 by cattle rancher Ewing Halsell. The foundation supports educational, cultural, environmental and other projects that benefit South Texas.
