Howe joins in trilateral conference

John P. Howe III, MD, president of the Health Science Center, was asked to represent the United States at a trilateral conference of leading health officials from the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The conference was designed to open a trilateral dialogue on health care and related issues.

The international forum, which received widespread media coverage in Mexico, was hosted by Mexican Minister of Health Dr. Jesus Kumate.

Other U.S. delegates included officials from the National Academy of Sciences, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the American Medical Association. The Health Science was the only U.S. university asked to participate.
