High school students in the Rio Grande Valley are getting advice and firsthand experience to help them decide on possible health careers. About 175 students, teachers and parents attended a career night at The University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg, and more than 100 students in Hidalgo and Starr counties are involved in volunteer internships with physicians and other health professionals who are mentors.
