A cancerous lesion on this patient's nose (far left photo) prompted surgeons to remove the lesion and surrounding malignant cells. As a result, the nasal skeleton, including the cartilage, was exposed. Then surgeons removed tissue from the forehead to cover the exposed nose area. This patient will undergo one more surgery before the nose reconstruction is complete. His scars will eventually be well disguised.
