Design Templates

To strengthen our brand visual identity, templates are available for downloading. Each template includes signature identity elements – from color and fonts to logo placement – providing consistent visual presentation of our Health Science Center. These templates are available to create materials related to any faculty, staff or student project and can be customized as long as the general guidelines listed below are met.

Graphic Elements

 

Logo – The institutional logo, or a customized institutional logo must be included on the piece.

Logo placement – It is preferred that the logo be placed at the bottom right or bottom center.

 

Color - Our colors are a powerful, distinguishing feature of our identity. We have five signature colors, plus black. It is important to look at the palettes as guidelines, not limitations. By implementing these identity colors across different materials, the Health Science Center can develop a signature look.

Fonts - The Whitney font is used within the Health Science Center logo. Whitney may be used in publications, advertising, brochures, direct mail, correspondence, presentations, etc. provided that licensing restrictions are followed. In addition to – or in place of – Whitney, the following type families should be used: Arial, Berkeley and Georgia.

Color Bar – UT Health Science Center materials incorporate color bars as a signature graphic element. University signature colors should be used. The bars can vary in placement and depth.

Photography– Photos help tell our stories by showcasing our people and their accomplishments. Choose photos that are personal, engaging and present people up-close, forming a connection between the viewer and the subject. The photo should feature the subject in focus with a limited depth of field, leaving the background soft and less defined.
