Institutional funding opportunity available

The Institutional Strategic Research Planning Committee established a competitive research program for new faculty at the Health Science Center called the Competitive Research Enhancement Fund (CREF). These funds are designated as venture capital for new faculty serving at the assistant professor or instructor level who have the potential to obtain federal, private or industrial research grants within three years of receiving CREF support.

Eligible applicants include new faculty at the assistant professor or instructor level from any of the Health Science Center schools, who joined the faculty between May 1, 1999 and July 1, 2000. Both tenure-track and non-tenure-track faculty are eligible. The deadline for applications is July 1. To obtain an application, contact Liz Buel in Grants Management at ext. 7-2330.
