Sponsored projects education program required for HSC community
Health Science Center faculty and staff who have signatory
authority over accounts in the "K" or "T-200"
series are required to attend the compliance education program titled
"Sponsored Projects Administration: What You Need to Know."
The program, presented by the Office of Grants Management, is
designed to provide information on federal government and other
sponsors, requirements for the management of research project funding
and will be a forum for questions about the administration of
sponsored programs. The final hour of the presentation will address
Institutional Review Board (IRB) issues. Faculty and staff conducting
research involving human subjects will need to remain for the IRB
portion.
The sessions are scheduled from April 26 through June 2, as
indicated below.
Each department or division is responsible for ensuring that its
authorized signatories attend a session. In an attempt to make these
sessions as convenient as possible, the Office of Grants Management
will contact each department individually to schedule programs at the
location and time of the department's choosing.
For more information, contact Jane Youngers, director of the Office
of Grants Management, at ext. 7-2333 or by e-mail at youngers@uthscsa.edu.
