Women Veterans Expo scheduled in June

The South Texas Veterans Health Care System will hold the Women Veterans Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at the San Antonio College Moody Learning Center at 1300 San Pedro Avenue.

The expo is designed to provide women with information on health care, veterans' benefits and legal issues. Dr. Nina Radford, a cardiologist, is the keynote speaker and will discuss heart disease in women. Other topics of discussion include nutrition, diabetes, osteoporosis, menopause, career counseling and weight management.

Admission is free and refreshments will be provided. A children's area is available and will include clowns and activities. To reserve a spot for youngsters in the children's area, call 617-5107.
