Maria Yeung Award established 

Dr. Huw Thomas, chairman of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry (left), and  faculty adviser Dr. Kyumin Whang (right) presented the first Maria Yeung Student  Research Award to second-year dental student Jerri Vo (center) at a recent  ceremony. The award of almost $4,000 is given to support a particular student  research project. It is given in memory of Dr. Yeung, associate professor and a  top researcher in pediatric dentistry, who was killed in a traffic accident last  August.
